Reflection for the Day: All Things Means All Things

Throughout scripture we read of accounts that, if viewed as isolated incidents, would be considered to be negative. Yet, as we follow the course of the individual's life, we note the positive results that come from the situation. Joseph was thrown into a pit which certainly appeared to be negative, however, it became one of the steps that brought him to his destiny. He chose not to complain, for he knew all things meant all things.

In your life you have experienced many challenging situations, some of which have caused you wonder if it was part of God's plan for your life. It is difficult while feeling the pain to see the blessings that will result from your condition. It is essential that you learn to look beyond today knowing all things means all things.

I have come to the realization that people (myself included) complain when things are uncomfortable for them. The word says to count it all joy, there was a time when I found that statement funny in a sense.. my mind thought why would I be joyful when things come against me. I began to realize that it was all a part of God's plan, my plan has been filed, scrapped and is now being reinvented with the help of God..I had to realize that what I want just may not be what HE wants. Yes it is difficult while feeling pain to look forward and call those things that be not as though they were, but I am still learning to not see my circumstance.
